I am a Computational Social Scientist
in
BAE Systems
Intelligence Innovation Division. I recently
became an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the
Division of
Human-Centered Computing at Clemson
University.
My research background is in human
computer interaction, virtual humans, immersive virtual environments,
and 3D user interactions. In particular, my past research focused on the
comparison of human-human interaction to human-virtual human interaction
in the context of social psychology. My current work at BAE includes the
development and application of ABMs to ongoing political and social
issues, including the effect of policy change on regional sentiment.
Prior to joining BAE, I received my
PhD in
Computer Science from University of North Carolina at Charlotte
working in the
Future Computing Lab. I received a BS in
Computer Science in 2000 and an
MS in Human
Computer Interaction in 2002 from the
Georgia Institute of Technology.
